My Baby is Four! How did that happen so fast???

Katlynn wanted a Hannah Montana/Make-up/Princess party so we tried to incorporate all of those into one party!
This was the picture on the cake that I made for her.One day I will give up trying and just buy a cake but even though mine never turn out the way I want them to look, they always taste better than store-bought.Felicia, Danielle and Lauren were all sweet enough to help with the make-up/princess part of the party. We set up a make-over room for the girls and Felicia did the make-up, Danielle painted the finger nails and Lauren did the hair. Then the girls got to pick out a princess dress to wear for the party and I (of course) took a picture of them.
Here is a picture of all the kids after their make-overs!
And here is Katlynn putting on a show in her Hannah Montana wig :)Even Jason and Adam had to take a turn trying it on :) Don't they look cute!

I am so behind

January flew by for some reason and I got behind on everything! So here a short update to catch everyone up on what's been going on recently!
That's right! Zack and Danielle are engaged!
You can read about it in Danielle's words on her Blog
Adam and Anna Reuter welcomed their new son, Atticus, into the world on January 16th! He is so cute!Leigh Anne, Kelly and I all went to see him at the hospital that night but Kelly made me delete the picture I took of her holding him :)
We had Amy's baby shower for little Addie (who we hope for Amy's sake will be making her grand entrance very soon) on January 24th. It was so much fun. She got lots of cool presents... And we played "How much toliet paper will it take to fit around Amy's stomach". The eight year old daughter of one of the ladies who was at the shower actually won this game. :) And eveyone had to draw a baby with the paper on top of their head. Those were hilarious to see!

Meet the Boswell/Henson/Hinesley/Green/Powell Family

I never thought I would be able to get my entire family together for a photo shoot on the same day but it happened, barely! So this is my crazy family.
Alright here goes, so technically, I'm an only child. The only one my mom and dad have but my mom has three other daughters and my dad has three sons. Sorta of like a weird version of the Brady Bunch :) My Mom is the center of our family on her side and I don't know what I would do without her. I don't know how people live in a different city much less a different state than their moms especially when they have kids. I think I would go crazy. She a great mom and an even better "Grandma"! Alden and Katlynn love going to spend the night at her house! My Dad is the center of our family on his side. He's a great dad and a great "Pop". I picked the name Pop for him because that is what we called his grandfather, W.B. Hammond and he was an awesome man! This is my first step-mom, Gaye(with Katlynn). She and my Dad met when I was two so I don't remember a time that she wasn't in my life. And even though she and my dad are no longer married we still keep in touch and she's a wonderful "Nana" to my kids. This is Kathy, my Dad's wife and "Grammie" to Alden and Katlynn. She and Dad got married in May 2008 and she is very sweet. And here are all my brothers and sisters!Felicia is five years younger than me. She and Brandon will be celebrating their one year anniversary next month. She's a great sister (now that we don't have to live together) and an awesome aunt! She and Andrew are probably the ones that make the most effort to spend time with Alden and Katlynn and I truely appreciate it. I can't wait to be the cool aunt to their kids one day.
Andrew is also five years younger than I am. He was born four days after Felicia! He's a great uncle and the kids already love his girlfriend, Tessa, too. Andrew came over the other day and Katlynn looked behind him and then turned in disappointment and asked "Why didn't you bring Tessa?" Briana is next in the line up age-wise. She's 16 and a total teenage but we love her! And her boyfriend, Jacob seems pretty cool too.Austin is only five months younger than Briana so he's 16, too. He's living the teenage life now too but he is so sweet. (when he wants to be)Miss Drama Queen, Taylor, is the next to youngest of my siblings. She's 15 and totally crazy but lots of fun!Avery is the baby of my family. He's 12 and so quiet. We don't get to see him as much because he lives with Gaye near Columbus but Alden thinks he's so cool and loves to play with him when we do get to see him.And last but certainly not least is my mom's sister and her family. She's Sissy to me and everyone else in our family and we love her (and Brad, Cody & Bruce) to death! She's the person you can call with any problem and she's got a solution for it whether it's what you want to hear or not. :) Personality wise I'm probably more like her than anyone else.

So that's my crazy family.

Christmas #1

We got to have Christmas four times this year! The first was on the 22nd of December with my Mom's family. We normally get together on Christmas Eve but Jason had to work this year at the fire department so we had to get together a little earlier this year. Which the kids loved!Alden picked out presents for Jason, Katlynn, all the grandparents and me at the Santa Shop at his school this year so we took Katlynn to the dollar store and let her pick out presents for everyone too. It was so funny to see what they picked out for everyone.Mama gave Brandon and Felicia and Jason and I $100 for Christmas! This is Jason and I pretending to be Briana and Taylor. We do a pretty good impression if you ask me :)This was Alden's second favorite present of Christmas(his BMX bike was first). He has even learned to play through the first four songs by himself! He had so much naturally ability that he picks up on things so quickly! It's amazing!

Look at that rockstar face :)

Christmas #2

Our 2nd Christmas started on Christmas Eve. Alden and Katlynn actually spent the night with my mom on the 23rd so Jason and I could get their presents ready for Christmas morning since he was going to be at the station on Christmas Eve. I went to my mom's on Christmas Eve and the kids and I stayed the night there and waited for Jason to get off on Christmas morning so we could all go home together. This is our annual picture in front of the tree. Jason and I have taken one with this sign every year since we were married. I'll have to put all the pictures from the past nine years on here later. It's amazing how much we all change each year. Especially the kids. The kids both got to open a present from Grandma on Christmas Eve. She also took them to Chuck-E-Cheese this week as the other part of their present. They loved that! Santa stuffs the stocking at our house and the kids gets three presents each from Mommy and Daddy. We started that tradition to try to keep some of the real meaning in Christmas (three wise men/three presents). Jason reads the Christmas story before we open any presents, too. Santa always puts DVD's and Candy and other goodies in the stocking! Alden's present #1 Katlynn's present #1 Alden's present #2 Katlynn's present #2Katlynn's reaction to present #3Alden's reaction to present #3Jason and Alden with their presents. I was able to really surprise Jason this year since he was working on Christmas Eve. He and Alden are wanting to start BMX racing next month and he has an old bike that he was going to try to clean up and use but a good friend of ours was selling his bike so I bought it for Jason and he let me keep it at his house until Christmas Eve. It was neat that all three of them were so surprised when they walked into Katlynn's room. And this is why we had to have the big presents in her room...... Jason and Alden built this playhouse bed for Katlynn and I made the curtains and put the stars and her name on the door. She loves it! The pictures don't really do it justice but it is a playhouse on the bottom and her bunk bed is on top. When you go inside the house there are stairs to get up to the bed. And we put all her babies and her tea set and table in there. The only problem is now she doesn't want to leave her room :) Jason enjoying his present
